If there’s one advantage to having long hair it’s the ability to do about a dozen different hair styles in no time flat. One staple hairstyle I’ve been sporting lately is my take on “beachy waves“. My version is a wee bit time consuming but if you have the time it’s worth trying.
1. Start out with dry or nearly hair. Additionally, you can also run some mousse through your hair for extra hold.
2. Separate your hair into sections (the smaller the sections the tighter the curls!) and twist hair into medium to small buns all over your head. Secure each bun with a hair tie or a small claw clip. Don’t worry if the ends of your hair stick out a bit, it’ll blend in fine. Also, if you have bangs like I do, leave them out and style them as usual. Your hair should look similar to this:

3. Leave on for 30 minutes to an hour (or longer if desired). During that time you can do other things like put your make-up on or choose your outfit for the day etc. If you don’t have much time you can also blast each bun with heat from your hair dryer and let it cool for a few minutes.
4. After waiting the allotted time, start with bottom sections and un-do all buns. Finger comb to separate curls. Use hairspray if desired to hold curl. You’ll have a head full of waves and lots of volume! :)
At the end, your hair should look something like this:

It’s super simple and beats heat styling any day! :)
