Summertime makes me love the look of hot pinks, corals and other bright shades for my nails. For this installment of Polish of the Week, POTW, I chose to go with a pretty China Glaze shade.

China Glaze I Wanna Lei Ya has been in my stash since last year but it’s only now that I’ve used it. The shade is a blend of coral and pink – quite lovely and perfect for summer. It’s a creme formula that has a tiny bit of silver shimmer. Application was easy though you would need two or more coats to get it even. As always, I followed it up with Seche Vite top coat.

I’m a total handbag lover and I have quite a few handbags that I adore (quality over quantity!!) and so I thought it would be fun to showcase a few of them, by designer, once in a while. Of course, I couldn’t not start off with one of my favorite designers! ;)
All my friends and family know I’m a huge Marc Jacobs fan. I can’t get enough of his quirky style and fabulous accessories. He continually creates fabulous handbags season after season that are definitely worthy of their price tags.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Standard Supply Tote/Messenger (used as a diaper bag)
Marc Jacobs Quilted Stam ‘Almond‘
Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Groovee Satchel ‘Violet‘
Marc by Marc Jacobs Luxy Ruth ‘Mustard‘
Marc by Marc Jacobs Luxy Zip Clutch ‘Mustard‘ (my current wallet)
As you can see my MJ collection is quite modest, to say the least. My biggest splurge (so far) has been the Stam (bought in 2007) and I absolutely cannot get enough of that bag. It’s a stand out in my handbag collection and one I can see myself using until I’m 80 hah.
I’ve yet to find another Marc Jacobs handbag that I “need” enough to get. Although I do adore his current line, I some how always manage to talk myself out of getting it for some reason. One of these days it won’t be so easy for me to walk away! ;)

Spent Saturday with one of my very good friends and we stopped by Sephora. I really had no intentions of buying anything from there but while we were browsing through all the pretty and colorful make up selections, we just couldn’t help ourselves. I didn’t get a lot of stuff but the two items I did pick up are fantastic!

Clean Provence perfume is something I’ve coveted for a few months now. In fact, the last time I hung out with my friend, I tested it on my wrist and couldn’t stop smelling it throughout the day. I told her I’d get it next time we were out and well, this was the next time heh. The scent is quite feminine, light, delicate and just… well, pretty. It does smell like soap but in a light and refreshing way. Not too soapy, perfume-y or detergent-y at all. Most of the Clean fragrances are too strong or too much of something but IMO, this is just right. I’m usually not a fan of full on floral scents especially ones with a lot of rose in the mix but this is just amazing. The price, $69, is a wee bit steep considering the size of the bottle, 2.14 oz, but I thought it was worth it given that it’s an eau de parfum which theoretically should last longer than a regular eau de toilette. Plus, it was the last one on the shelf so yeah, it was meant to be! ;)

My second small purchase was another 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil from Urban Decay. I have most of the shades in my beauty stash but Underground is a step lighter than my beloved Bourbon (which I use on a daily basis) so I wanted to try it out. It’s described as a metallic taupe and it’s definitely that. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how awesome these eyeliners are; they go on incredibly smooth and last forever. My only caveat? Due to their creamy texture, you’ll have to sharpen them often but it’s a small sacrifice for such great liners!
